BSA - Blow the whistle on unlicensed software

Terms and Conditions

We appreciate your decision to report piracy and your confidentiality is very important to us. We treat all information you provide in the strictest confidence. It will be handled by professional, legal representatives operating within national and international data protection and privacy laws.

In order for a reward to be obtained your full name and contact details will be required. All information will be regarded with the utmost confidentiality; you will only be contacted by a BSA legal representative if necessary via your preferred contact method at a time convenient to you.

A reward is only available providing the BSA’s ‘Report Piracy Form’ has been fully completed and there is a successful settlement. The more information you can provide, the more likely we are to be successful.

The process

It can take a long time to fully investigate and prepare any case before it even gets to court. So if you have provided us with your contact details please do keep in mind that you may not hear from us for some time. If you don’t provide your contact details, we will be unable to keep you informed.

After you submit your report, we refer this to a legal team who will decide if they think we are likely to gain a successful outcome. If so, your report will then be investigated further by the BSA and the software manufacturers it concerns.

Only once a judgment has been made by court or a settlement has been agreed can a payment be made to the person who gave us the tip-off. The payment is made by discreet, secure BACS transfer.
